A Few Words

Our Story

Making a Difference

The founders of LULA have both experienced and/or had their lives personally touched by homelessness, substance use disorders, mental illness, and food insecurity.

We have been at points in our lives where we were treated like garbage and considered “less than.” It is because of this, and because we love our street family so much, that we continue to do this work.

Humans are not garbage. They are not less than. We are all worthy of dignity, compassion, love, and respect.
